Ski Touring and Backcountry Info night - Raising money for SARDA
The Matrix Lounge hosted a successful Ski Touring and Back country avalanche awareness information night raising money for Search and Rescue Avalanche Dogs.
$1500 was raised for SARDA from Ticket sales and the raffle on the night. Thank you to all our Guest speakers who gave an informative and knowledgable talks about Ski Touring and being in the Backcountry in our local terrain. We are very proud to have been involved, and look forward to hosting another next winter.
Stand Up Comedy Live - Paul Douglas and Justine Smith
The Matrix Lounge hosted a stand up comedy night with stars of 7 Days & The Comedy Gala Paul Douglas & Justine Smith. It was an evening of pure belly laughs and entertainment with hilarious performances. Spacious and intimate seating all with a great view of the stage.

Queenstown Womens Ice Hockey League Quiz night and fundraiser
The Matrix Lounge hosted a successful quiz and fundraiser for the Ice Hockey community; raising money for the Queenstown Womens Hockey League.
$860 was raised for QWHL from Ticket sales and the raffle on the night. Thank you to all who attended and bought into the raffle, we are very proud to have been involved, and to have supported the hockey community.
Dirt Town Queens - Bike Maintenance Course
The Matrix Lounge hosted an amazing community group Dirt Town Queens with a Bike Maintenance course. The workshop covered important topics such as tyres, safety checks, gears and shifting, brake pads, chain links and more! What a social and informative evening learning how to take better care of your bike, and have the skills needed to repair it if you needed too. Thank you to Michael from One Bike for sharing his skills. It's almost biking season! Get stoked!
The Seaside Stranglers - Live at The Matrix Lounge
The Matrix Lounge were thrilled to host The Seaside Stranglers. After a long hiatus, The Seaside Stranglers are back on the stage and put on an epic performance here at TML.It was a high-octane evening of music as the band brought their explosive show back to the stage. A fun night of gritty riffs, fierce beats, and unapologetic rock. Look forward to next time!

The Whakatipu Wildlife Trust has another fabulous conservation talk coming up on the 24th of Feb - Art and the Albatross!
Local conservationist Chrissy Wickes spent 10 weeks last summer on the Sub-Antarctic Islands, working with Southern Royal Albatross
Chrissy is going to tell us all about her experiences on Campbell Island, and there will also be an exhibition of the nature art she was inspired to create!
$10 koha to the talk and exhibition, with nibbles on the night included Proceeds will go to Southern Royal Albatross conservation.
